Home EV charging

A dedicated charge point is safer and much faster than charging from a standard socket. We install wall-mounted home chargers on driveways, garages and suitable external walls, with a dedicated circuit and the protection the installation needs.

Checking your supply first

Before installing a charger, we look at the property's incoming supply, main fuse, consumer unit and earthing arrangements. An EV charger is a large, long-duration load, so this check tells us whether the existing installation can take it, or whether an upgrade such as a new consumer unit is needed first. Where load management is required, we can advise on chargers that support it.

Smart chargers and notification

New home and workplace charge points sold in Great Britain must have smart functionality under the Electric Vehicles (Smart Charge Points) Regulations 2021. Installations also need to be notified to the local electricity network operator, and we deal with the paperwork for the work we carry out.

Workplace and landlord charging
